Ice Falls from Sky in Pelham, Forces Recess Indoors
PELHAM — On Dec 17, it rained on a school day. The rain was so cold that by 3 a.m., ice was all over Pelham—on trees, bushes, plants, fences and a lot more.
By the morning of Dec. 18, the ice started to melt. There had to be indoor recess because it was too dangerous to go outside because ice was falling everywhere and it could hit some kids and hurt them.
The next day, Colonial School was able to go outside for recess again.
