On December 22nd, Colonial school had a holiday sing along. It was a time for the whole school to get together and celebrate by singing holiday songs!
We celebrated many different cultures by singing Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and many other songs. Sophia Wall from 4G said, “I feel like the holiday sing along is very fun and lets you experience many different cultures.” Anton Berman from 4G explained that, βI was nervous to sing in front of people but I did it because it’s very fun.β Quin Matts from 4M said, βIt’s pretty fun and I like it.β This event is also a great time to just sing. And it’s very fun if you love to sing, and it also might make you very happy if you celebrate some of these cultures because then you know that others care too.
Mr. Vasquez Colonial schools music teacher ran the sing along and taught the students all the songs. The sing a long was a great experience that many kids enjoyed. The songs we sang songs including, Gonxi Gonxi, Feliz Navidad, and even Kwanza Time.
