UConn Wins March Madness

On Monday, April 3rd the UConn Huskies beat the San Diego State Aztecs 76-59, to win the NCAA men’s division 1 college basketball title.

The Huskies beat the Miami Hurricanes 72-59 and The Aztecs defeated FAU (Florida Atlantic University) to advance to the final. San Diego State won in a last second buzzer beater!. There were many upsets including FDU (Fairleigh Dickinson University) beat number 1 seed Purdue in the first round, Also number 15 seed Princeton beat Arizona state. UConn power forward Adama Sanogo was named Final Fours most outstanding player with 10 rebounds and 17 points in the championship game and 21 points and 10 rebounds in their semifinals game. Also, guard Tristen Newton dropped 19 points and 10 rebounds also helping them win the title.

It was UConn’s fourth ever NCAA men’s division 1 college basketball title. UConn coach Dan Hurley said, “You could feel it coming, it just wasn’t here yet and now it is.”
